Aaron Wan-Bissaka was born on 26 November 1997 in Croydon, London, England, to Congolese parents. He grew up in a football-loving family and developed an early passion for the sport. Wan-Bissaka attended Good Shepherd Primary School in New Addington and later Archbishop Lanfranc Academy in Croydon.
Wan-Bissaka began his footballing journey with local South London club Crystal Palace, joining their youth academy at the age of 11. Originally a winger, he transitioned to the right-back position during his time in the academy under the guidance of the coaching staff.
Career
Crystal Palace
Wan-Bissaka made his professional debut for Crystal Palace on 25 February 2018 in a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur. He quickly established himself as a key player for the team, becoming known for his excellent defensive skills, work rate, and ability to make crucial tackles.
Manchester United
Wan-Bissaka’s impressive performances for Crystal Palace attracted the attention of several top clubs, and on 29 June 2019, he signed for Manchester United on a five-year contract for a reported fee of £45 million, potentially rising to £50 million with add-ons.
